The London Division Executive Committee want to give Resident Doctors an opportunity to experience being part of a Committee and to contribute to their strategic direction.

There are a number of vacancies that Resident Doctors can apply for (please see our vacancy page), but we want to expand this to give more opportunities to focus on areas of interest.

We are therefore introducing a shadowing scheme, where you can shadow a current member of the Executive Committee to learn more about their role, and how this supports the work we are doing.

The role would not only give you experience and the chance to learn more about specific roles, it would also give you a co-opted role on an Executive Committee.

If you would like to know more about this scheme, please contact Karen Morgan via email (karen.morgan@rcpsych.ac.uk).

The London School of Psychiatry

Resident Doctor involvement is a cornerstone of the School ethos.

We link with the RCPsych London Psychiatric Resident Doctors committee, host a pan London Resident Doctor wellbeing committee, and have established an Educational Fellows network. All of the educational committees have invited Resident Doctor representatives and Resident Doctors have access to regional training days in addition to local taught courses.
