Competing interests

All speakers at College meetings are asked to declare any competing interests (otherwise known as conflicts of interest) that they might have relating to their presentations.

Presenters must declare any relevant interests relating to the previous 36 months and the next 12 months from the date of their presentation.

Dr Amrit Sachar: Joint Presidential Lead for RCPsych for equity and equality

Professor Daniel Joyce: Research: £40k from a commercial company to develop an evidence base for data-driven tech for inpatient settings.

Consultancy: between 2019 and 2023, earned £7k of personal income from ad-hoc paid consulting for two companies with interests in deploying AI (one of which is now out of business)

Dr Guy Northover: Cofounder and hence major shareholder in a digital startup (Anathem LTD) that uses generative AI to undertake clinical administrative tasks at all points of a patients referral and assessment pathway through Ai driven summarisation of documentation and referral information, ambient documentation of assessments and collation of information into all referral outputs. The software is at the stage of establishing pilots within the NHS, no sales have been made.
