Perspectives on public mental health

The blog of the Public Mental Health Implementation Centre (PMHIC).

The PMHIC is a team of psychiatrists, researchers and mental health experts. Our role is to make sure that interventions that have been proven to prevent and treat mental disorder (mental health conditions or illnesses) are put into practice. We also promote knowledge and education on public mental health among psychiatrists and the broader community.

This monthly blog series aims to highlight the voices of practitioners, patients, carers, and public health experts. We are inviting guest authors to write blog posts that address current and relevant topics in public mental health

Through this blog, we hope to promote public mental health as an intrinsic part of psychiatry, and support College members and the wider public to develop their knowledge and understanding of public mental health.
