We’re aware of plans to withdraw the lithium medication Priadel from April next year and along with other Royal Colleges and charities we have written to the Health Secretary to ask for his support to stop this discontinuation.
At the moment there’s no national shortage of this medication but we have been made aware that some pharmacists across the UK are already reporting local stock shortages, and patients, doctors and pharmacists are increasingly concerned about potential hazards.
