On 23 June 2021, the Royal College of Psychiatrists published a statement concerning the terms 'Excited delirium' and 'Acute Behavioural Disturbance (ABD)'.
Due to the particular nature of the specific issues raised and the topic covered in the statement, the College has taken the decision to withdraw the statement, pending further consideration of the matters to which it refers.
