    Buddy schemes

Recently established at Birmingham and Warwick medical schools, the Buddy Scheme partners up medical students interested in mental health with a junior doctor working in psychiatry. The doctor acts as a mentor to the student, supporting them with their studies, offering them more experience of clinical work (even on-calls!) and signposting them to other interesting opportunities such as conferences and research. Contact the PTC reps for more information.

    Postgraduate Deanery

Health Education England (West Midlands) is responsible for postgraduate medical and dental education and training in the area covered previously by the West Midlands Strategic Health Authority.
