Yesterday, 14 June, the Royal College of Psychiatrists hosted a special event for our newly elected Fellows.

The event included a presentation ceremony with our President Prof Wendy Burn and remarks by our CEO Paul Rees.

All 90 guests, including the 40 new Fellows, then enjoyed a dinner with speeches.

This was the first time the College has held a Fellowship ceremony at our head office in Prescot Street, which in previous years was integrated in the programme for our Congress.

Professor Wendy Burn, President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists said: "I was delighted to be at the first ever New Fellows Ceremony to be held at the College.

"It was a magical evening. We heard about each Fellow and the amazing things they had done.

"Then we all sat down to dinner together and enjoyed the wonderful food from the College catering team."
