Taking a role on the Executive Committee

The South Eastern's Executive Committee are always looking for new members! Being a member of the Exec will help you expand your network of professional contacts, shape the service the College provides to members in the region, and will be a lot of fun too.

Promoting Careers in Psychiatry

We are extremely focused and proactive about promoting careers in psychiatry and increasing the numbers of people who choose psychiatry as a career.  To find out more about the work that we do in recruiting to psychiatry or how you can get involved, please contact Karen Morgan.

Attending an event or training session

Prizes and Bursaries

Each year the South Eastern Division runs a FYMS Poster prize n Essay prize for medical students and foundation doctors, a divisional poster prize for trainees and SAS doctors and a poetry prize for staff with a connection to mental health and these are held at the Spring Conference.

A maximum of two prizes of £200 for each of the poster prizes, and £75 for the poetry prize, are offered, depending on the standard and number of submissions.

The Division has a number of bursaries they offer to its members each year to promote recruitment into psychiatry, help financially support attendance at International Congress, and to attend regional, national and international conferences and events.

Representing the Division at the annual Mindmasters quiz
