The Royal College of Psychiatrists Improving the lives of people with mental illness

Call for Nominations for National Honours

The college is calling for nominations and would like to hear about psychiatrists of all ages who have made a difference.

Our Nominations Committee - chaired by the President - is keen to increase the number of national honours awarded to both psychiatrists and others who’ve made a big contribution to mental health.

Since mental health is a priority for the government, we believe it’s a great time to be nominating.

The Cabinet Office is particularly keen to receive nominations for young people who are doing things above and beyond the call of duty. So we’d love to hear about junior psychiatrists who have been really going above and beyond and making a difference.

If you know someone who might be suitable, please send us

  • a brief description of the candidate
  • the name of the person who can provide a brief citation.

Nominations should be submitted to - with a subject heading ‘National honours’ - no later than 31 July 2017 and will be discussed by the Nominations Committee in September.
